Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences
Saturday, June 13, 2020, 10:30 am via Zoom
We hope that you and your loved ones are doing as well as can be in the current moment of multiple crises in our country. We greatly regret that, for now, we cannot gather to recognize your achievements during an in-person commencement. Although we are planning to have such an in-person commencement for you when the situation allows it, we want to make sure that you still have an opportunity to be recognized now for this key milestone in your lives, and to share this with your family, friends, peer students, and professors. Therefore, the AOS department will host a live “Commencement Part A” on Saturday, June 13 at 10:30am via Zoom. Your family and friends are welcome and encouraged to join as well!
One of the benefits of being a relatively small department is that we can spend more time honoring each graduating student. So every student will be recognized individually and will have a minute or so to share a message, for instance thanking friends and family, a message about your future plans, etc.
An agenda and instructions to join the meeting by zoom will be forthcoming. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions in the meantime.
We hope to see you all on June 13!
This celebration will be in addition to the graduation website that will also launch on June 13. The link to the website will be posted here once it becomes available.
