CDLS Fellow Nique Stumbaugh is in the final year of her PhD program in the Department of Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences at UCLA. She’s just published her first lead-author paper on AI in space weather prediction, interned at Los Alamos and aerospace companies, and is a teaching phenom. But she didn’t always think she’d end up in STEM research.
