AOS Professor Jacob Bortnik has been selected to receive the 2021Joanne Simpson Medal or his significant contributions to the Earth and space sciences. He has pushed the frontiers of science forward and AGU’s shared vision of a thriving, sustainable, and equitable future for all powered by discovery, innovation, and action. All the while creating deep engagement in education and outreach. The formal presentation of the award will take place in December at the AGU Fall Meeting 2021 in New Orleans, LA.
