AOS Associate Professor Andrew Stewart has been selected to receive the American Meteorological Society (AMS) Fofonoff Award “for his pioneering research discoveries regarding the dynamics of oceanic currents, eddies, and sea ice in polar regions.” The formal presentation of the award will occur in conjunction with the 102nd AMS Annual Meeting scheduled to be held January 23-27, 2022 in Houston, Texas.
