AOS Professor Rong Fu had her PNAS study on climate change and wildfires be among UCLA’s top news stories of 2021. The story is featured on both the UCLA Home Page and the the UCLA Newsroom. The study was also featured on the University of California home page as one of UC’s 10 best research stories of 2021 (#6) and the only UCLA research study to make this top 10 list.
The study shows how research by scientists from UCLA and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory strengthens the case that climate change has been the main cause of the growing amount of land in the western U.S. that has been destroyed by large wildfires over the past two decades.
