Akio Arakawa elected to Royal Meteorological Society

Honorary Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society: The Royal Meteorological Society has a small number of Honorary Fellows who are elected by Council. This is the highest recognition the Society can give for a distinguished service to meteorology. “The most widely influential of Arakawa’s works in the context of global warming and climate change has been the parameterization for AGCMs of the effect of clouds generated by convection.”
