About Alexander Lozinski<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2022 I moved from the UK to begin my current role as a postdoctoral researcher at UCLA. I am making the most of the sunny weather here in CA, and enjoy cycling through the hills and frequent trips to the beach in my free time. Feel free to get in touch!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research area:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My research focuses on modeling the dynamics of Earth’s radiation belts and the space weather risk to orbiting spacecraft. I am currently investigating machine learning methods for radiation belt forecasting, as well as data assimilation techniques to improve the accuracy of realtime models.
