The technology behind AOS ID is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.freeipa.org\/\">FreeIPA<\/a>, this allows the IT department to create a single identity account that you can use to log into department websites, servers, printing, remote access and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"managing_your_aos_id\">Managing your AOS ID<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>First make sure you are connected on the AOS network. If you are off-campus, please refer to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/atmos.ucla.edu\/it\/remote-access\/\">Remote Access<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can manage your AOS ID by pointing your browser to <a href=\"https:\/\/kerberos.atmos.ucla.edu\">https:\/\/kerberos.atmos.ucla.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"password\">Password<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Your AOS ID password is reset every 180 days and must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be at least 8 characters long<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contain at least 3 of the following: uppercase, lowercase, number, symbol<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not based on a dictionary word<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not your last previously used password<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>You can change your password when you are on the AOS network(VPN or WIFI) at <a href=\"https:\/\/kerberos.atmos.ucla.edu\">kerberos.atmos.ucla.edu<\/a>.
