UCLA offers Endpoint Protection with Trellix, formerly known as FireEye Endpoint Security (FES), a small piece of software, called an ‘agent’, which is installed on workstations to provide protection against common malware as well as advanced attacks. Trellix combines the best of legacy security products, enhanced with Trellix technology, expertise and intelligence to defend against today’s cyber attacks. Based on a defence-in-depth model, Trellix uses a modular architecture with default engines and downloadable modules to protect, detect and respond to security events. Also, UCLA’s Duo Desktop is a lightweight application for your computer that performs a security Health Check on your device, making sure your device is in compliance with UCOP’s May 28, 2025, mandate.
