Philip Rasch (Pacific Northwest National Laboratory) - Challenges and Prospects for the treatment of cloud and aerosol processes in Earth System Models

Clouds, Aerosols, and their interactions are very difficult to model, but they are among the most important of atmospheric features in Global Earth System Models. In this presentation I review some of the challenges in their treatment, analysis of their interactions, and describe opportunities for improvement via field studies and modeling.
