With your AOS ID, you can access numerous technical services with just one account. Our IT department uses FreeIPA technology to create a single identity account for you. You can log into department websites, servers, printing, remote access, and other services.
Managing your AOS ID
First, make sure you are connected to the AOS network. If you are off-campus, please refer to Remote Access
You can manage your AOS ID by pointing your browser to https://auth.atmos.ucla.edu.
Accept the self-signed certificate by adding the exception or agreeing to continue. Then you can log in with your credentials.
How to accept the self-signed certificate
Your AOS ID password is reset every 180 days (90 days for undergrads) and must meet the following criteria:
- Be at least 8 characters long
- Contain at least 3 of the following: uppercase, lowercase, number, symbol
- Not based on a dictionary word
- Not your last previously used password
You can change your password when you are on the AOS network at https://auth.atmos.ucla.edu. Once you have logged in, click on Action from a drop-down menu, then select Reset Password.
